We started Simply Amazing Candle Company in 2019 to uplift our own feelings when my disabled son passed away. Nuances of certain candle scents gave us comfort, healing, and relaxation as my family and I struggled with the void that follows loss.
It began with some high-purity soy waxes, an assortment of natural scents, and a pretty big mess in the kitchen. That led to trial and error processes that spanned 100's of initial test batches. Soon, half the home was engulfed. Then gifts to friends and family turned into orders for their friends and families.
It also became clear that what we were really doing was helping people remember loved ones, pets, places, and things that they don't want to forget. They seemed to like that. Eventually we sold enough to get an office, a little storage space, and a work area. Yet, somehow half the house is still full of candle stuff?
We have been blessed, and we hope that what we are working on brings you comfort, peace, and even joy. Whether it's your daughter's wedding, uncle Harry's wake, the best dog you ever had, or someone much closer than that ... Remembering is good for the soul.
